Try everything in this thread. Also here is my specific post: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...5&postcount=58 I use elementalist, and don't use my elite often. So monk should be alright. |

I'm completely new at all of this, and having snowball skills on my bar really really really confounds me. I am a fish out of water when it comes to the whole holiday, and I don't know how much of it I really want to learn...
But... do I have to roll a ranger, and get a necro hero, to farm this quest? |

I think if you arent going to use a nec or ranger then SD farm isnt the best choice for vanguard farming.
For monk what you want to do is ice breaker the necro just at the right time so he lives a little longer. Or you can run to the back of the mob, put up ice fort, then ice breaker and pray that your allies have killed most of the enemy while they are distracted on you. If you arent nec/ranger your runs just wont be fast/safe/efficient/reliable |

The best way for SD on your monk would be microing a rit hero. Right before the ruckus starts run over to the other side and stand next to Staci(their leader) flag your rit about half an aggro from there and plant jack frost. then flag your rit behind your allies' lines (after a few tries youll be able to see where they will be when the fighting starts and try to aim for that point). When Staci's team turns hostile hit her with Snow Down The Shirt and run back to your side. The other team will hit Snow Fort since you were in their aggro and sometimes the jack frost will rupt staci's. Your team runs up and starts shoveling snow on the other team. You hang back, make sure your rit keeps up jack frost and you play mop up. After awhile you can experiment on who to hex at the start and where to first micro jack frost. maxed warrior and rit this way and will max my ele this year and hopefully para and nec. Micro rit hero 1-2 minute runs; best way to max vanguard imho

Take ranger as secound profession and take with you a pet, the pet will still be with you when you enter SD but wont be able to do any damage, also bring a ranger hero and disable it from using snow down the sleeve, now flag your ranger hero with the rest of your team then you go in to aggro distance to other teams leader when the round starts set your pet in attack mode and he will run up to your target, this will make them pop their snow fort, and walk out of it it will also make them ball so it will be a easy pick for your team. I do this in around 2 min rounds all the time but with sin.
Sry for any misspellings xD |

If you have any summoning stones, you can use them as allies here.
